Synchronize Remote Endpoints
It is possible to synchronize the settings between endpoints. The setup should be consistent, so it is recommended to synchronize the settings instead of making the same manual changes in each endpoint.
Synchronization Process
Synchronization of endpoint settings is triggered by a synchronization message. To create a synchronization message:
- Select the Synchronize action on the remote Endpoint Card page. Only IIC super user can perform this action - it is necessary to add an own user record in the User Setup table and select the IIC Super User field.
- On the opened report request page, select what data should be synchronized between endpoints.
- Send the message by using the Send action on the IIC Message List page or in the IIC Send Outbound Messages report.
Synchronized Data
Depending on the settings on the Synchronize Setup request page , the following data can be synchronized:
Synchronize Message Types - Specifies that all defined message types. For details, read Message Types are sent.
Synchronize Message Templates - Specifies that only released message templates are sent. For details, read Message Templates.
Synchronize Endpoints - Specifies that all endpoint definitions are sent. The Password field is cleared, so it must be filled in the remote company.
Synchronize Status Codes - Specifies that all status codes are sent. For details, read Status Codes.
