Applying Entries Manually

In some cases, entries can be applied only manually. The functionality works similarly to recipient ledger worksheets displayed from payment proposals. The only difference is that it is not the amount, but an applies-to ID that is assigned to entries based on the following formula: Bank Statement No._Line No., that is linked to the entries. To manually assign the applies-to ID to an existing ledger entry:

  1. Choose the Tell me what you want to do icon, and enter Bank Statement List and then select a related link.
  2. On the bank statement card choose the Line and Apply Entries actions.
  3. The system displays the list of open entries linked to a selected recipient.
  4. Choose OK to assign the applies-to ID to selected entries.
  5. If you assigned a full amount, the statement line will be displayed in bold.
Tip

If you want to apply more than one entry on a single line, in addition to an applies-to ID, you should also enter the appropriate amount in the Amount to Apply field.

Important

To fully apply the line and display it in bold and make the entry close after posting the bank statement, the value in the Amount field in the bank statement line must be less than or equal to the value in the Amount to Apply field in the entries to be applied.
