Suggesting an Application

If no vendor/customer ledger entries to be applied (settled) are recognized based on the End-to-End identifier, a mechanism can be triggered to suggest potential matches between these entries and bank statement lines.

  1. Choose the Tell me what you want to do, icon, and enter Bank Statement List and then select a related link.

  2. On the Bank Statement List page, select the bank statement for which you want to use the application suggestion mechanism.

  3. To suggest application, select the Suggest Application action in the Process section on the Bank Statement page.

When you run the Suggest Application action, potential matches between the entries to be applied are searched for. The app checks if the entries are correct, and if they have not already been settled earlier, as well as if the data from the bank statement line matches the data in the relevant entry. If the conditions are met, the match level is calculated, which determines whether a given entry can be potentially included in the application process. If the system has found a match, but some values in the matched entry are not equal to the values in the bank statement line (e.g. a posting date), the system displays information on potential matches.
