Electronic Banking Setup Wizard

To use the Electronic Banking Base App application, you must complete all the steps in the Electronic Banking Setup Wizard tool. With the wizard, you can select a user to be assigned the role of the application administrator, select the document number series for payment proposals and bank statements and create ID-to account mappings for existing bank accounts. Electronic Banking Setup Wizard has been designed in accordance with the standard guidelines, also used for the Assisted Setup function in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Using the Electronic Banking Setup Wizard

To define basic settings and data using the Electronic Banking Setup Wizard:

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature, enter Assisted Setup, and then select a related link.

  2. On the Assisted Setup list page, select Electronic Banking Base App Setup. The wizard welcome message is displayed.

  3. Select the user to act as the application administrator.

    Note

    When the wizard is run again, the field will contain the code of the first user listed in the database with the Electronic Banking Base App application administrator rights and permissions.

  4. Select number series for the following documents:

    • Payment Proposal,
    • Archived Payment Proposal,
    • Bank Statement,
    • Posted Bank Statement.
    Note

    When you run the wizard again, the fields will be filled in with the values on the Electronic Banking Settings page in Electronic Banking Base App.

  5. If you want the system to create mappings in the ID-to-Account Mapping table for the existing bank accounts, select Create ID-to-Account Mapping. A field will appear in which you can select the field from the Bank Account table. The value of the selected field will be used as the account ID when creating ID-to-Account mappings. By default, the selected field is the IBAN field.

  6. In the following step, a final message is displayed. After you select Finish, the settings you have defined are applied within the system.
