QR-IBAN

Electronic Banking Extension CH allows you to store your bank account number in the QR-IBAN format. QR-IBAN is an integral part of the Swiss QR-Bill functionality. The QR-IBAN number is required when making transfers that contain a QR reference.

The Structure of the Account Number in the QR-IBAN Format

Instead of the standard account number in the IBAN format, the bank assigns an additional bank account number in the QR-IBAN format to the account. It is used to identify the recipient. The only difference between IBAN and QR-IBAN is the Institution Identifier (IID). QR-IID is used for QR-IBAN accounts. Each financial institution is assigned at least one QR-IID.

QR-IBAN on the Vendor Bank Account Card

Electronic Banking Extension CH contains a new QR-IBAN field that has been added to the vendor's bank account card page. The bank account number of the QR-IBAN format is required when a QR-Reference is used when processing transfer orders.

Processing the QR-IBAN in a Payment Proposal

The application extends the Payment Proposal page view in Electronic Banking Base App with the Recipient QR-IBAN field. This field is used to store the recipient's bank account number in the QR-IBAN format. It can be used for bank transfers sent in euros and Swiss francs to Switzerland or Liechtenstein.

Important

In order to ensure that transfer orders that contain a QR reference are processed correctly, the recipient's bank account number must be entered in the QR-IBAN format.
